Major Competitions \u2013 updated Jan 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Two of the season\u2019s events will be deemed as MAJORS.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0They will be held at prestigious, challenging courses.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0These will be the St. Pierre Trophy (held at St. Pierre) and the Nomads Championship (will change each year).<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Enhanced bonus points, a green cap\u00a0and prize money\u00a0will be granted for these competitions.<\/p>\n

Order of Merit<\/strong><\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Players are awarded the Stableford points scored during each round of the season (excluding the Newton Cup).<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0For 36 hole events, an average of the points will be counted.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The best 6 scores are counted towards the Order of Merit.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Bonus Points of 3 (1st<\/sup>\u00a0place), 2 (2nd place) and 1 (3rd<\/sup>)\u00a0place will be awarded with the exception of the 2 MAJORS \u2013 Jan 2015<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0For MAJOR competitions (St. Pierre and the Nomads Championship), bonus points of 6 (1st<\/sup>\u00a0place), 4 (2nd place) and 2 (3rd<\/sup>)\u00a0place will be awarded\u00a0– Jan 2015<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Anglo Cup<\/strong><\/p>\n

Divisions<\/strong><\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The bottom two players in Division 3 at the end of the season will be relegated to Division 4.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The top 2 players in Division 4 will be promoted to Division 3.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The top 4 players in each Division who are attending the final round of the season will play in a play-off for a cash prize.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0All players who have scored 0 points (there could be more than 2), they will be relegated and replaced with the next best player in the lower division. \u2013 Jan 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0New players will start-off in Division 4.<\/p>\n

Good Play Award<\/strong><\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0For each round played, points will be awarded for gross scores per hole (except the Newton Cup\u00a0and Nomads Tour).<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Gross Par \u2013 2 points.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Gross Birdie \u2013 3 points.<\/p>\n

Best Newcomer<\/strong><\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A prize will be awarded at the end of the year to the new player with the most points in the Order of Merit.<\/p>\n

Guillotine<\/strong><\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Season long knock-out tournament.<\/p>\n

o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Then by those that have been eliminated from the\u00a0event in the\u00a0previous round\u00a0(in points order).<\/p>\n

o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Then by the rest of the field in most recent performance order.<\/p>\n

Team Cup (Jan 2015)<\/strong><\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Season long competition with four teams randomly drawn at the beginning of the season.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Teams will be captained by the current Society Captain and the previous three Society Captains.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The team captains are to provide a name for the team.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The team captain will nominate a player within his team as the vice-captain.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Newton Cup and the Nomads Tour events will not be counted.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0As each new player attends, they will be drawn into the teams.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Top 2 players from a team will score for each round.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A running total will be maintained throughout the season with the winner being the team with the most points.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The winning team will be awarded a trophy which the captain will keep for the forthcoming year.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0For each round, the Captain can nominate a player from his team as a JOKER.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If the player nominated as a JOKER is one of the two scoring players, his points will be doubled.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If a team has less than 2 players in an event (unlikely), then they can loan a player from another team.<\/p>\n
